Open Door Center was founded as a church in August of 1993. Our history is one with many challenges but even more blessings.
We began by worshiping in the GEM Theatre in Garden Grove. This was fascinating because we had to work around the sets in the theatre, which was primarily used as a Shakespearian house.
From Garden Grove, we moved to Orange, CA where we worshiped in a ballroom dance studio. This was also a real experience, as the disco ball on the ceiling would slightly rotate during the service, making a beautiful rainbow of colors reflect off the walls and mirrors.
From Garden Grove, we moved to our present Worship Center in Bellflower in 1998.
In each location, we had the pleasure of meeting some of the most beautiful people, many of whom have moved out of state or moved on to their eternal home.
